Fancy a thoughtful ponder on some thinking stuff....?

???

I've been wondering this for a while...

What's the difference, in your opinion's, between retro and vintage? + How old does something have to be to be vintage?

Just a few things for you to ponder over. Leave your comments and let me know what you think.

Not sure what the technical definition is, but my general feeling is that if a good 20+ years have passed, something can be considered vintage. Hence, '80s vintage.

totally agreeing with dream sequins, vintage=25+ antique 100yrs+ but 60s and 70s= retro ^_^

Generally speaking, clothing which was produced before the 1920s is referred to as antique clothing and clothing from the 1920s to 1980 is considered vintage. Retro, short for retrospective, usually refers to clothing that imitates the style of a previous era. Clothing produced more recently is usually called modern or contemporary fashion. Opinions vary on these definitions.
